Background: SAKURA was a large IS Landscape change program within Hitachi Energy, which encompassed simultaneous replacement of several Legacy systems with new ones – SAP HR -> Workday, Local SAP 3 systems -> Global S4HANA installation, Payroll & Time systems…
Task: We were involved in consulting and technical capacity on the Integrations and Migrations workstreams
Some of the challenges:
- Legacy landscape mapping (listing the systems, integrations, understanding requirements, decisions on reintegration etc.) –
- Managed integration/reintegration processes for 50+ (>10%) technical integrations; managed implementation & testing teams; provided technical support
- Worked with several architectural approaches based on requirements, from Mulesoft integrations to Workday EIB solutions
- SAP HR data consolidation & Data Quality validation for loads to Workday during Migration process; built an automated tool used for Consolidation and Validation that was used in several TEST migration cycles and PROD migration
- Took over technical responsibility (maintenance and updates) of several key Legacy landscape systems important for SAKURA processes for the duration of the program
